This state broadcaster from Brazzaville is listed as being on air daily, but it's incredibly difficult to receive from my location in Johannesburg, South Africa, and I haven't heard it since 2023. Was this a return to shortwave, or has it been quietly broadcasting all along and I just haven't heard it? Hard to say — but either way, this is a DXing highlight for me in 2025! Checking the links I have on my homepage,  http://www.worldofradio.com they all seem to work except feedburner which goes to a document tree. How should we change that? I gather that WOR can be reached thru various other podcast services, many of which I may be unaware of. How can I know or publicize that info? Glenn`` Keith Weston replies July 12: ``Glenn, That document tree is what is to be expected from a bare RSS feed. That is the correct link for feedburner. It's an XML document (which is what a RSS feed actually is). I would mention that WOR is available at Apple Podcasts, TuneIn, YouTube and nearly everywhere you get your podcasts. Because RSS is a distributed system, there are hundreds if not thousands of "clearning {sic} houses". The biggest players are Apple, TuneIn, YouTube, Spotify, etc. The way podcasts work is that you get them listed at a few of those places (mainly Apple, Tunein and Google) and the podcast just populates "everywhere" because other services are built upon these main nodes. I hope that makes sense. The distribution model starts with Feedburner in this case and spreads out in hundreds of nodes from there. Keith`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. What`s wrong, again? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 4840, UT Sun July 13 at 0057, `Wavescan` is back on WWCR, VG signal here already, just as Jeff White is saying they are back, at 0030 UT Sundays (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 12050, July 10 at 1925, JBA signal direct, Spanish? Yes, at 2016, S8/S9 into Florida SDR with preacher, so WEWN, RCM is now on the air altho I could not detect it previously on July 9 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 900, July 11 at 0624 UT, ``The Original KHOZ, 94.9, AM 900`` and C&W music. That`s Harrison AR, U1 1000 day/62 watts night. 94.9 a mere translator, K235CE. Often hear other music at night, trying to ID as KSGL Wichita, 28 watts at night, and semi-local in daytime. So what`s become of XEW which used to own 900 with 250 kW? IRCA Log shows it is the only Mex on 900, 100 kW (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 900, July 12 at 0602, ``Good music on AM 900, WADA ---``, after `Sound of Music` not certainly from same station. Must be WKDA, Lebanon TN, among scores of low-power 900s, heard before and favored on E/W longwire; nominally 136 watts at night, format C&W/NOS - surely the latter at this time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1010 kHz, July 13 at 0334 UT, gospel huxtress in English, then switches to Spanish, atop QRM, better on E/W loop than N/S wire. That format would fit best the very first 1010 in the NRC AM Log, KXXT Tolleson AZ, U7 300 watts night, REL/SS:REL - tho KDJW Amarillo TX would be more likely, U4 500 W night, EWTN, which could be bilingual, but on a single station? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1130 kHz, July 13 at 0332 UT, tones and NWS warning of flash floods in TX, so must be KWKH Shreveport LA, vs music from KLEY KS cheater, and soon back to silly sports talk (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1160, July 11 at 0529 UT, ad with 847 area code, soon fade out and KSL remains with 435 area code ad. 847 is suburban Chicago, i.e. WYLL, U4 50/50 kW; 435 is Salt Lake City area (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1280, July 10 at 0559 UT, Black Information Network; surely WODT New Orleans LA, U3 5000/5000, only one on 1280 in NRC AM Log; and the usual 1280 dominant here, originally WDSU until 1972 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A. 1420, July 10 at 0600 UT, ``1420 and 106.3, Hot Springs` first ---`` ID in English after Mexmx. I thought two different stations, but NRC AM Log shows KBHS is in Spanish, 5000/87 watts at night, with 106.3 of course a mere translator, K292HG, ``La Caliente``. But the town is not yet renamed Aguascalientes? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. FM DX opening July 16: see CANADA [and non] ** VANUATU. 9960, July 11 at 0517 direct, JBA signal considerably off-frequency-minus, on the R75, compared to 9955 WRMI and 10000 WWVH. Unlike R. Vanuatu, evidently receiver birdie or something else, for at 0541 into Townsville SDR, RV quite good, matches WWVH (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** VANUATU. 9960, July 16 circa 0630, usual signal from R. Vanuatu; but at 1406 a JBA carrier direct; and 1450-1500+ into Townsville SDR, S9+10 of dead air except for some hum, some slight SSB QRM nearby. Still DA at 1631. Off by 1747. As no other stations are ever using 9960, presumably RV leaves its carrier on overnight (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 730, July 13 at 0345 UT, songs in English, better on N/S antenna than E/W. Suspected XEX straying from sports in Spanish; or KKDA Dallas, the ``Korean`` station? At 0351 there is some Spanish sports talk (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 810.54, July 10 at 0606 UT, still getting that mystery JBA carrier slightly variable, hetting 810.00 WHB. Still not in mwoffsets, where most info concerns splitting hairs/Hz much closer to nominals (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 4975, July 14 at 0336, JBA carrier. No broadcasters listed by HFCC or EiBi or Aoki in 2025, nor is there usually any ute here. Still at 0515 on other receiver. In handy WRTH 2016, there were a Peruvian and a Brazilvian (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 7656.0, July 15 at 0639, S9/+10 open carrier on another of those mysteries always ending in -6 which I think therefore be related. Searching my archive, in 2022, 7656.0 comes up as a Civil Air Patrol USB channel for Region 1 net in the Northeast, i.e. New England, NY, NJ, PA, along with others not ending in -6, so unlikely pertinent. OC last logged this year on March 24 and April 30 with clickery (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 9320, July 11 at 1445, JBA signal. Probably CNR1 jammer vs Sound of Hope, but KTWR in Korean also scheduled (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) {Why in the world would TWR choose to be on same frequency as China radio war?} UNIDENTIFIED. 11600, July 11 at 1443, music seems choral/instrumental, S6/S8, then Chinese? talk. Eibi shows FEBC Manila in Mandarin, but could also be CNR1 jammer vs Sound of Hope (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) {Why in the world would FEBC choose to be on same frequency as China radio war?}
